Project ROSE Interview Recruitment​

The Teen and Young Adult Lab is recruiting participants for Project ROSE – a project being conducted by Dr. Sophia Choukas-Bradley's psychology research lab at the University of Delaware, in collaboration with Dr. Jioni Lewis at the University of Maryland. 

 

This study involves an interview conducted by Bri Ladd (incoming counseling psychology Ph.D. student) that will last roughly 2 hours and will be conducted virtually through a video call on Zoom. In the interview, we are interested in learning more about Black young women/femmes' gendered racial identity, sexuality, body image, and mental health. 

 

About the Project:

 

Who can participate?

  • Must be 18 - 24 years old

  • Identify as Black and/or African American woman or femme

  • This study is open to women/femmes of all sexual and gender expansive identities. Queer, transgender, and non-binary femmes are encouraged to participate.

 

What will I be asked to do?

  • In a semi-structured virtual interview on Zoom, you will be asked about your experiences with gendered racial identity, sexuality, body image, and mental health.

  • Participation in this study involves the completion of a consent form and demographics survey prior to the semi-structured individual interview. 

  • The interview session is expected to take 2 hours. All information is confidential and personal identifiable information will be removed from the interview data. 


 

**Upon completion of the interview, participants will receive a $50 Visa gift card.**
