PSA Presents: Psychology Graduate School Workshop
October 2022: PSA hosted its first-ever psychology graduate school workshop panel featuring Psy.D. graduate students, the USF Psy.D. program director, a graduate school recruiter, and a recent Ph.D. grad. Students learned more about what grad school is, how to apply, how to make themselves stand out, and much more. They also got a chance to ask questions they had and connect with each of our panelists at the end of the event.
PSA's Third Bagel and Coffee Chat
October 2022: PSA hosted its third annual bagel and coffee chat, featuring numerous professors from diverse areas of psychology. Students were able to casually talk and connect with professors, learning more about their careers, research, etc. It was great to see students connecting with their professors! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this wonderful event!
May 2022: PSA is hosting two events to help you get through finals week.
Monday May 9th we're hosting Mindful Monday in Kalmanovitz G66 from 11am-5pm. Stop by to enjoy some healthy brain food and mindfulness activities at the top of every hour.
Tuesday May 10th we're hosting Tailgate Tuesday on the Gleeson lawn from 11:45am-12:45pm. Join us to pet som precious pups and enjoy coffee and snacks!
PSA Study Break
PSA & Psi Chi Pub(lication) Crawl
April 2022: PSA & Psi Chi co-hosted the first ever Publication Crawl. Student presenters got to share their individual and lab posters to fellow students and faculty. Students were able to meet professors and faculty and get to know the psychology department. And PSA created a special scavenger hunt with psychology themed mocktails and music to create a fun, inclusive (and slightly competitive) environment.
Second Annual Bagel and Coffee Chat
March 2022: PSA hosted its second annual Coffee and Bagel Chat with psychology professors from diverse personal and research backgrounds. It was very uplifting to see psychology, bio, and neuroscience majors and minors come together to learn more about the field of psychology. Thank you again to all the students who came and asked amazing questions!

Motivational Monday: PSA hosted a productive 6 hours of drop-in study time in Malloy Hall and many of us were able to feel extra motivated and supported by studying together in community!

Tea Tuesday: PSA passed out donuts, tea, and coffee, and many of us were able to discuss study tips. It was fantastic to hear how others were preparing for final exams, and this event provided great tips on how to conquer final exams.

Wise Wednesday: PSA hosted a space where students were able to come and share words of affirmation. It was awesome to see all the negative feelings related to finals being released. We also passed out goodie bags to help with studying!
Professor Panel
November 2021: PSA hosted our first professor panel (later dubbed 'Coffee & Bagel Chat'). Students were able to meet with Psychology Professors and other Psychology students. Students came ready to have disucssions with professors in a casual setting to learn more about their experience, current field of research, and their career paths! Thank you again to everyone who attended!
Split Movie Night
October 2021: PSA hosted our first social event of the Fall 2021 semester on Thursday, October 21st. Students were able to meet the new Student Co-Chairs and other Psychology students. Students came ready to watch Split (a psychological thriller), eat pizza, and snack on some candy in the Halloween spirit. Thank you again to everyone who attended! We hope to see you all soon at our next event!
Among Us Game Night
April 2021: PSA hosted our second social event of the semester on Friday April 23rd. Students and faculty battled it out amongst each other over four rounds of fixing the electrical wires, swiping admin cards, and murder! Keep an eye out for our next event and we hope to see you there! Thank you to everyone who attended :)

Trivia Night
March 2021: PSA and PSI CHI hosted the first social event of the semester on March 26th. Four teams comprised of both Psychology faculty and students went head to head and battled over questions ranging from Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? to abnormal psychology, to USFCA general trivia! Who knew Lone Mountain had 142 steps?? (well, one of the four teams did!!) The game was almost tied at the end, but Sabrina Ibrahim and Robert Ye, alongside Dr. Yang, ended up victorious! Congrats to our winners and we hope to see you all at our next event in April!!
