IABAS Individualized ABA Services

IABAS is currently looking for:

- Behavior Technicians for Oakland and surrounding cities within a 35 miles radius.

- Part-time employees are eligible for sick time and holiday pay.

BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred but not required.

- $400 bonus offered.

- We provide RBT supervision and training.

- All trainings are paid for!

All workers must be vaccinated and boosted (if eligible) by March 1, 2022.

Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements under sections (1) and (2) only upon providing the operator of the facility a declination form, signed by the individual, stating either of the following: (1) the worker is declining vaccination based on Religious Beliefs, or (2) the worker is excused from receiving any COVID-19 vaccine due to Qualifying Medical Reasons.

This position requires getting on the floor and playing with children.

​

Part-time employees must have afternoon/evening availability.

IABAS requires a minimum of 3 weekday afternoon/evening availablity (minimum of 4 hours between 2pm-8pm) or 2 weekday afternoon/evening (minimum of 4 hours between 2pm-8pm) and 1 weekend day.

For the Calendar Year 2022, IABAS for Families observes the following paid holidays:

January 1 (New Year's Day)
Memorial Day
July 4th (Independence Day)
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day


All workers past the 90-day probationary period and working at least 20 hours part time will be paid 4 hours for the day. All applicants must be authorized to work in the US.

JOB DESCRIPTION - Behavior Technician

- Implement programs based on ABA principles improving communication, self-help, social and play skills.
- Responsible for maintaining positive rapport with supervisors/teams and families, communicating professionally, punctual and consistent attendance, time management, and performance improvement, including responding appropriately to feedback.
- Keep a consistent record of client’s progress.
- Manage challenging behaviors that occur.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Travel to client’s homes/community settings, as required to deliver services.
- May be responsible for diapering and toileting if applicable, and for cleaning, sanitizing and/or disinfecting toys or work surfaces
 

Physical requirements

- Have the ability to regularly walk, stand, or squat, crouch, bend, stoop, sit on the ground, and stand up from the ground or floor. Regularly kneel, crawl on the floor, and sit in child-sized chairs, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may require running or otherwise moving quickly.
- Exhibit manual dexterity to regularly enter data into a computer/tablet/phone; regularly use a computer/tablet/phone to view electronic screens.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Specific auditory abilities required by this job include perceiving the nature of sounds at normal to below normal speaking levels with or without correction, ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discrimination in sound, spatial awareness of sounds and speech at a variety of volume levels, often in background noise.
- Be able to speak in a manner easily understood, be capable of driving a motor vehicle regularly.'
