Research Assistant in the Social Reasoning in Childhood Lab

The Social Reasoning in Childhood Lab run by Dr. Aline Hitti is seeking research assistants!

Our research uses a developmental framework, examining how various aspects of social cognition and morality change through childhood and adolescence in order to understand how they make social decisions.

Current Studies:

  • Perceptions and Reasoning about Peers with Accents

    • This study will examine children's and adolescents' perceptions of peers with accents and their reasoning about relationships with peers with accents

  • Perceptions of Occupational Status

    • We are interested in understanding children's perceptions of occupational status. We aim to explore how early children start to associate occupations with gender, ethnicity/race, and social status, and do these perceptions differ across age.
